About The Founder
AKIRA NITSCHE
Welkom bij OMBRE BEAUTY
I’m Akira Nitsche — internationally recognized PMU educator, certified skin therapist, and creator of the Dusty Ombre Brows™ technique.
I believe PMU should never overpower the face. It should blend naturally, enhance softly, and fade gracefully over time. That belief is the foundation of everything I teach and create.
My journey began in 2006. After earning my Bachelor of Science, I followed my heart and pursued a medical education in skin therapy. The human skin — its resilience, beauty, and complexity — has always fascinated me.
After graduating, I opened my first salon in the Netherlands, focusing on skin health and non-invasive treatments like HydraFacial, chemical peels, and LED therapy. I’ve always been one step ahead, exploring new techniques and prioritizing long-term skin improvement.
In 2008, I fell in love again — this time with PMU.
I saw the subtle yet powerful impact it could have: restoring harmony without changing someone’s identity. Even on “not-so-perfect” skin, small enhancements — like correcting asymmetry in brows or lips — could dramatically elevate someone’s overall appearance.
I developed a unique technique using shadows and gradients, which I launched under the name OMBRE BROWS. In 2015, after being invited as a keynote speaker at an international event in Belgrade, I introduced the technique on stage for the first time — and from that moment, my career accelerated.
I went on my first world tour, teaching in over 15 countries and sharing my philosophy with thousands of PMU artists around the world.
Over the years, I’ve continued to pioneer new methods, challenge industry norms, and dive deeper into pigment science, healed results, and the intersection between beauty and biology. To date, I’ve had the honour of training more than 3,500 students worldwide.
What sets me apart?
I don’t just teach how to do brows — I teach why things happen the way they do.
I want my students to gain real insight, not just copy techniques. I believe knowledge is power, and the more independent, skilled, and scientifically informed we are, the better choices we make — especially in an industry full of hype, trends, and misinformation.
When working with the skin — the body’s largest organ — we must stay humble, precise, and informed. I’m known for my eye for detail, scientific approach, and skin-health mindset. In all my trainings, hygiene, healing, and client safetycome first.
And then came The Science Behind Your PMU Art®
Driven by my passion for truth, transparency and lifelong learning, I launched The Science Behind Your PMU Art® — a one-of-a-kind education program for artists who want to think critically, work safely, and stand out through knowledge.
This international course connects everything I’ve learned from skin biology, pigment chemistry, colour theory, immunology, and toxicology — and distills it into a clear, structured path for serious PMU professionals.
Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced artist, my goal is always the same:
To help you grow not just in skill, but in clarity, confidence and credibility.
If you’re ready to enter the world of PMU and become the kind of artist clients remember (and recommend), I’m here to guide you.
